Twelve-week tech bootcamps, seed grants for founders and monthly safety circles for women in Ethiopia. Free to apply, free to attend.
እሷ ትነሳለች።
In Ethiopia, women run most of the small trade and almost none of the software teams, and they are rarely at the table when money is allocated. Not for lack of talent. For lack of a door.
She Rise Org started in Addis Ababa in 2020 with one belief: give a woman skills, a little capital and people who will vouch for her, and she changes more than her own life. Her sister applies next. Her daughter sees it as normal.
A fixed window means you can plan around it: tell your family, arrange the hours, and know exactly when you'll hear back. Code Rise Cohort 8 closes on 10 January 2027.
Short enough that a job, a family and a city can fit around it. Sessions run four afternoons a week in Bole, with loan laptops for anyone who needs one.
No promises. Just what tends to happen when a woman shows up.
Most Code Rise graduates had never been inside a tech company before week one. Many go on to tech roles; the live site cites the graduate survey.
Seed Rise ends with a pitch day and micro-grants of ETB 25,000 to 150,000. We follow every funded business for two years and publish how many are still trading.
Safe Rise circles meet monthly: digital safety, legal rights, and a room of women who show up for each other.
Most of our mentors are graduates. The network pays forward by design.
Civic leadership sits in every pathway. We train women to run things, not just to work in them.
Engineering bootcamps and backend systems training. From a first line of code to a first job, with a mentor the whole way.
Three pathways.
One's yours.
"I applied on my phone during a night shift at the call centre. Fourteen months later I run the API team."

Point at the part of her life she wants to build and the cohort piles up there. Income, skills, network, safety. Some of it lands exactly where she aimed. Some of it surprises her. Either way it adds up into someone she wasn't last year.
Headline figures as shown on She Rise's current website. Everything else on this page is sample for the demo.
Join a circle. Or start one.
Addis, Hawassa, Bahir Dar, Dire Dawa, Adama and Mekelle. Your circle is where your mentor comes from, where your cohort meets, and who shows up when you need a room. Nobody is ranked. You just get to see you're not the only one out here.
Two hours a month to one woman for one cohort. Or a hiring pipeline, a venue, a funded seat. Tell us which and we'll match you to a circle.
Mentor in a circle Partner with usEvery gift is tied to a real line in our budget, so you see what it does before you give it. Every donor receives a receipt and a six-monthly note on the cohort they funded.

Monthly gifts let us promise a seat before a cohort starts. $30 a month funds one Code Rise seat a year. Registered with the Ethiopian Authority for Civil Society Organizations. Demo: no payment is taken; ETB figures use a sample rate of 135 per dollar; your registration number goes here.
Free to apply and free to attend. No degree needed. We reply to every application, including a no. Nobody is ever asked for money at any stage.
Income first: Seed Rise. Skills first: Code Rise. Safety, or under five hours a week: Safe Rise. Still unsure? Apply anyway and say so. We'll place you.
Shortlisted applicants get a 20-minute call in the language they chose. Everyone hears back after the closing date, including a no.
